Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has - Margaret Mead
20 years ago a collection of Tibetans and Tibet activists came together to brainstorm how to make the Tibetan Freedom Movement stronger and more successful. Their idea was to set up a network to bring together the power and determination of global Tibet groups in coordination, amplifying our voices, and strengthening our capacity to carry out successful, worldwide campaigns for Tibet.
And thus the International Tibet Network was created.
Now 20 years later we have transformed from that small collection of groups into a family of over 120 Member Groups across the globe, joining together to increase our collective impact in support of Tibet and to fight for its freedom.
This 20-year milestone on our journey together is a time to celebrate our shared commitment and solidarity.
And we want to thank you wholeheartedly for your invaluable contribution to Tibet Network, which makes our crucial work possible.
In a year that has been extraordinarily difficult for us all, we believe we have also witnessed a growing interest in the power of collective action and an understanding that we are stronger together developing strategic actions that deliver maximum impact.
As we celebrate our 20 years together, we feel privileged to work with you all and are thankful to all of you, our Members, for your ongoing collaboration. We are determined to continue to bring together our collective skills and resources and to harness the constructive power of our Network to bring lasting change for Tibet.
