No Mega-Destruction in Tibet!

Tibet’s Rivers, Mountains, and People Are Under Threat

China is rapidly expanding mega-development projects across Tibet, including massive dams, mining operations, and large-scale infrastructure. These projects are carried out without the free, prior, and informed consent of Tibetans  and enforced through arrest, torture, and violent repression.

Tibet, often called “the third pole” is home to the headwaters of major rivers that sustain over a billion people across Asia. These destructive projects devastate fragile ecosystems, displace Tibetan communities, and erase ancient cultural and spiritual heritage.

Meanwhile, China positions itself as a global climate leader, greenwashing these extractive projects under the banner of “green energy” and “carbon neutrality.” Western governments and corporations have chosen to benefit from this exploitation, ignoring the occupation of Tibet and the suffering of its people.

Join the call for a Moratorium on megadevelopment and resource extraction in Tibet. This means:

  • No new construction, expansion, or resource extraction.
  • Respecting Tibetans' right to free, prior, and informed consent.
  • No threats, arrests, or violence against Tibetans for protecting their land.
  • The moratorium would remain in place until Tibetans can safely and freely give or refuse their consent, without fear of repression.

Sign now to demand an immediate moratorium on all destructive mega-projects in Tibet. Stand with Tibetans fighting for freedom, land rights, and true climate justice.
