Free Khenpo Tenpa Dhargye

Khenpo Tenpa Dhargye, a prominent Tibetan religious leader, has been detained by Chinese authorities.

His crime? Trying to preserve Tibetan language and culture.

For years, Khenpo Tenpo Dhargye has worked tirelessly to promote the Tibetan language and culture through his initiative, the "Language Protection Association." But China sees Khenpo Dhargye's work as a threat to their authority. They have detained him, along with 20 other Tibetans. All detainees have been held incommunicado since their arrest, with no information on their whereabouts or conditions.

One of the detainees was a Tibetan village chief who died from severe torture inflicted during seven months of detention by Chinese authorities. This raises serius concerns about the health and safety of Khenpo Tenpa Dhargye.

We cannot stand by and let this injustice continue.

Take Action: Call on China's Minister of Justice He Rong and Chinese Communist Party Secretary of Qinghai, Wu Xiaojun to immediately and unconditionally release Khenpo Tenpa Dhargye and all other detainees!
